WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, GlobalLogic reported to the Attorney General of California that its third-party vendor, Oracle, had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on October 4, 2025, Oracle issued a security advisory about a previously unknown zero-day exploit in its systems.1 As a result, GlobalLogic launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, GlobalLogic confirmed that sensitive personal information in its Oracle E-Business Suite belonging to current and former employees may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party on July 10, 2025, and August 20, 2025. As a result, GlobalLogic began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Phone number
- Emergency contact (name and phone number)
- Date of birth
- Nationality and/or country of birth
- Passport information
- Internal GlobalLogic employee number
- National identifier or tax identifier
- Salary information
- Bank account information
- Routing number
On November 7, 2025, GlobalLogic began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to California residents, GlobalLogic is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
