Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Silverado Contractors, Inc. (“Silverado”) regarding its recent data breach. The Silverado data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

Silverado is a union demolition contractor based in California. Founded in 2000, Silverado offers various construction services such as building demolition, excavation, and marine demolition.2 Headquartered in Emeryville, California, Silverado employs over 50 individuals and has an additional location in Chino, California.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Silverado reported to the Attorney General of California that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice on or about December 30, 2024, Silverado became aware of technical issues related to systems in its network.1 As a result, Silverado launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Silverado confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party on December 18, 2024. As a result, Silverado began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Silverado. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state identification card number
- Account number, credit card number or debit card number, if circumstances exist wherein such a number could be used without additional identifying information, access codes or passwords
- Account passwords or personal identification numbers or other access codes
On November 4, 2025, Silverado began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to California residents, Silverado is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
