Right at Home Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Ever Care Corporation, which does business as Right at Home (“Right at Home”) regarding its recent data breach. The Right at Home data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT EVER CARE CORPORATION D/B/A RIGHT AT HOME:

Right at Home is an in-home care service based in Nebraska. Founded in 1995, Right at Home provides private home care services for seniors, such as hygiene and feeding, housekeeping and socialization, nursing services, hospice care, Alzheimer’s, cognitive and dementia care, and diabetes care.2,3,4 Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Right at Home has locations in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and Ireland, and employs over 9,000 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Right at Home reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on September 3, 2025, Right at Home became aware of unusual activity in its network environment.1 As a result, Right at Home launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Right at Home confirmed that sensitive personal information in its network may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Right at Home began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:5

  • Name
  • Social Security number

 

On October 23, 2025, Right at Home began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, Right at Home is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
