SI-BONE Data Breach Investigation

ABOUT SI-BONE, INC.:

SI-BONE is a medical device manufacturer based in California. Founded in 2008, SI-BONE developed and produces an implant called the iFuse Implant System, which fuses to the sacroiliac joint as a less invasive alternative to traditional sacroiliac joint fusion surgery.3 Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, SI-BONE employs over 200 individuals.3

WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 1, 2025, SI-BONE reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of October 8, 2025, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by SI-BONE. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Driver’s license number
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
