Care N’ Care Health Plan Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Care N’ Care Health Plan (“Care N’ Care”) regarding its recent data breach. The Care N’ Care data breach involved sensitive personal information and protected health information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT CARE N’ CARE HEALTH PLAN:

Care N’ Care is a health insurance company based in Texas. Founded in 2008, Care N’ Care provides Medicare beneficiaries in North Texas with PPO and HMO health plans that include traditional benefits in Medicare as well as additional benefits and services, including a personal healthcare contact.3 Headquartered in Farmer’s Branch, Texas, Care N’ Care employs over 50 individuals and services beneficiaries in approximately 13 counties across North Texas. 3

WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 7, 2025, Care N’ Care reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of October 8, 2025, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by Care N’ Care. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
  • Date of birth
