WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Partners in Pediatrics announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, in March 2025, Partners in Pediatrics became aware of unusual activity involving an employee email eccount.1 As a result, Partners in Pediatrics launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Partners in Pediatrics confirmed that the sensitive personal information and protected health information in the affected email account may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized third party in March 2025.1 As a result, Partners in Pediatrics began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On September 23, 2025, Partners in Pediatrics completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Clinical or treatment information (lab results, prescription information, provider information)
  • Health insurance information

 

On October 3, 2025, Partners in Pediatrics posted notice of the data breach to its website. Additionally, on October 3, 2025, Partners in Pediatrics began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the website breach notice, Partners in Pediatrics is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.1 A link to the website breach notice is below.
