WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, RF Associates reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on February 25, 2025, RF Associates discovered that an unauthorized user had gained access to its network.1 As a result, RF Associates launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, RF Associates confirmed that the sensitive personal information in its care may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party on or around February 20, 2025.1 As a result, RF Associates began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Government identification numbers
- Bank account information
On or around September 5, 2025, RF Associates began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
