Havco is a trailer flooring manufacturing company based in Missouri. Founded in 1978, Havco creates a range of flooring products for trailers, truck bodies, and containers, including the composite Fusion Floor, oak floors, flooring protection, etc.2,3 Headquartered in Scott City, Missouri, Havco acquired a second factory in Vonore, Tennessee in 1990 and has sold millions of square feet of oak flooring and over 300,000 Fusion Floor kits since its founding.3,4
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Havco reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on March 31, 2025, Havco detected suspicious activity within its computer network.1 As a result, Havco launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Havco confirmed that the sensitive personal information in its computer network may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized third party between March 30 and March 31, 2025.1 As a result, Havco began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. As of September 22, 2025, the type of information impacted in the breach has not been made publicly available by Havco.¹ However, according to Maine state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number or State ID card number
- Account number or credit or debit card number
- Account passwords, PINs, and other access codes
On September 19, 2025, Havco began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice being sent to Maine residents, Havco is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services. 1 A link to the letters that Havco filed with the Attorney General of Maine is below.
