WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Zumpano Patricios announced that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the breach notice posted on its website, on or about May 6, 2025, Zumpano Patricios detected a cyber-attack on parts of its information technology network. 1 As a result, Zumpano Patricios launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Zumpano Patricios confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and removed by an unauthorized third party.1 As a result, Zumpano Patricios began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • First and last name
  • Social Security number
  • Medical Information (provider name, member ID number, health insurer information, dates of service amounts charged by provider(s), the payment amounts received for the services, clinical coding information, and medical records)

 

On July 3, 2025, Zumpano Patricios posted notice of the breach on its website. According to the breach website notice, Zumpano Patricios is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.1 A link to the breach notice posted by Zumpano Patricios is linked below.
