Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Warm Springs Medical Center (“WSMC”) regarding its recent data breach. The WSMC data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

WSMC is a healthcare facility based in Georgia. Founded in 1957 as Meriwether Memorial Hospital, WSMC offers a variety of services, including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, pharmacy services, physical and occupational therapy, and post-acute rehabilitation.3,4 Additionally, WSMC’s nursing home provides patients with hospice care, respiratory services, recreational activities, and more.5 Headquartered in Woodbury, Georgia, WSMC operates out of a single location.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, WSMC reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on July 14, 2024, WSMC’s third-party vendor, Nationwide Recovery Service (“NRS”), notified WSMC of a data security event that disrupted its operations.1 As a result, NRS launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, NRS confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems belonging to WSMC patients may have been viewed and obtained by an unauthorized third party between July 5 and July 11, 2024. As a result, WSMC began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On June 3, 2025, WSMC completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
On June 13, 2025, WSMC began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to New Hampshire residents, WSMC is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
