WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, P-Fleet reported to the Attorney General of Maine that the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on February 18, 2025, P-Fleet was alerted to suspicious activity in one employee’s email account.1 As a result, P-Fleet launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, P-Fleet confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been compromised by an unauthorized third party between November 26, 2024, and February 21, 2025. As a result, P-Fleet began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
On June 3, 2025, P-Fleet began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, P-Fleet is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
