WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto experienced a malicious encryption attack perpetrated by unknown actors.1 As a result, Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

On March 31, 2025, Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been copied from its network without authorization in or around January 2024.1 As a result, Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or other government identification number
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
  • Tax identification number
  • Financial account numbers

 

On May 29, 2025, Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to New Hampshire residents, Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
