Founded in 2019, Apollo partners with healthcare providers and ships its products directly to patients.2 Today, Apollo offers a variety of wound care products, including collagen pads/gels/powders, alginate, superabsorbent dressings, foam dressings, bordered gauze and composite, compression stockings and wraps, contact layer dressings, and more.3 Headquartered in Casselberry, Florida, Apollo operates out of one location.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Apollo discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. On April 29, 2025, Apollo filed official notice of the data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights.1 Though much information is still not known about the Apollo breach, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ reporting guidelines require entities to report data breaches when they involve protected health information. Therefore, it is likely that the Apollo breach included the protected health information belonging to over 3,500 individuals. Additionally, according to the Attorney General of Indiana’s breach report, the Apollo breach occurred on December 12, 2024. As a result of the data breach, on May 1, 2025, Apollo began sending breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
