WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Hoffman Homes reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, on February 10, 2025, Hoffman Homes learned of unauthorized access to some of Hoffman Homes’ accounts with their third-party payroll services provider, iSolved HCM Online HR Payroll Software & Solutions.1 As a result, Hoffman Homes launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, on or about April 11, 2025, Hoffman Homes confirmed that sensitive personal information in the affected accounts may have been compromised during the breach. As a result, Hoffman Homes began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
On May 6, 2025, Hoffman Homes began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Hoffman Homes is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
