Jacksonville Medical Care Data Breach Investigation

Recently, Jacksonville Medical Care reported that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on January 26, 2025, Jacksonville Medical Care experienced a network disruption.¹ As a result, Jacksonville Medical Care launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Jacksonville Medical Care confirmed that sensitive personal information of current and former patients may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party between January 25 and 26, 2025. As a result, Jacksonville Medical Care began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

• Name
• Social Security number
• Date of birth
• Diagnosis or treatment information
• Other health-related information

On April 9, 2025, Jacksonville Medical Care began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
