WHAT HAPPENED?

On February 3, 2025, Lee Enterprises discovered that it had experienced a data security incident. In response, Lee Enterprises launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident. On February 7, 2025, Lee Enterprises reported the incident in a Form 10-Q filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. According to the filing, Lee Enterprises experienced a technology outage on February 3, 2025, due to a cyber incident that affected certain business applications. 1 While it resulted in an operational disruption, as of February 14, 2025, Lee Enterprises’ investigation is ongoing and further details have not been made publicly available.
