Established in 2016 by nurses aiming to resolve staffing shortages through on-demand technology, Sadiant’s founders created an app and web portal so facilities could locate clinicians and clinicians could upload and control their schedules.2 Today, Sadiant is an on-demand staffing solution with a large network of registered nurses, medical assistants, respiratory therapists, certified nursing assistants, licensed vocational nurses, surgical technologists and more.2 Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Sadiant employs over 200 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On January 6, 2025, Sadiant reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of January 6, 2025, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by Sadiant. While not much is known about the breach, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license number
- Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
