WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Devine Millimet reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, Devine Millimet recently discovered that it had experienced a cybersecurity incident. As a result, Devine Millimet launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Devine Millimet confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been compromised by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Devine Millimet began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On November 14, 2024, Devine Millimet completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
As a result of the data breach, Devine Millimet began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notices provided to the Massachusetts residents, Devine Millimet is providing affected individuals with a list of the information impacted and 24 months of complimentary identity monitoring services.
