WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Creative Co-op reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. In the form breach notice, Creative Co-op does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number

 

On September 25, 2024, Creative Co-op began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Creative Co-op is providing affected individuals with 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
