WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Storey Law Group reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. In the form breach notice, Storey Law Group does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:  

  • Name
  • Social Security number

 

On August 20, 2024, Storey Law Group began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notices provided to the Massachusetts residents, Storey Law Group is providing affected individuals with 24 months of complimentary identity monitoring services.
