Elitecare Emergency Hospital Data Breach Investigation

Founded in 2011, Elitecare is headquartered in League City, Texas.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On August 16, 2024, Elitecare reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of August 19, 2024, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by Elitecare. While not much is known about the breach, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Driver’s license number
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
