S&F Concrete Contractors Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating S&F Concrete Contractors, Corp. (“S&F Concrete”) regarding its recent data breach. S&F Concrete is a construction company specializing in concrete based in Massachusetts. Founded in 1965, S&F Concrete provides a variety of services, including concrete flatwork, architectural concrete, concrete framework, specialty flooring, and concrete pump rentals. Additionally, S&F Concrete provides these services for a range of industries including commercial, institutional, hospitality, healthcare, sports facilities, and parking structures. Headquartered in Hudson, Massachusetts, S&F Concrete employs over 200 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, S&F Concrete reported to the Attorney General of Vermont that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, earlier this year, S&F Concrete discovered suspicious activity in its computer systems. As a result, S&F Concrete launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, S&F Concrete learned that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been compromised between May 5 and May 20, 2024. As a result, S&F Concrete began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • State or federal identification number
  • Financial account information
  • Health insurance information

 

On August 7, 2024, S&F Concrete began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Vermont residents, S&F Concrete is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific type of sensitive information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
