On July 2, 2024, Dave posted a notice of the breach on its website saying, “We are aware of a cybersecurity incident involving our partner bank, Evolve Bank & Trust. Evolve has updated its website with details about the incident, which includes information about what data was affected and the support they are providing. We encourage you to review this information. Additionally, Evolve will be notifying each individual who was impacted, starting the week of July 8th, and will offer them two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection.”1 As of July 11, 2024, neither Dave nor Evolve has disclosed the specific type of data that was impacted in this data breach.
