WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, SkinCure Oncology discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, SkinCure Oncology determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information though certain company email accounts between June 23 and June 25, 2023. On June 28, 2024, SkinCure Oncology began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license number
- Financial account and credit card information
- Medical information (e.g., medical record number, medical history)
- Health insurance information
