WHAT HAPPENED?
On May 14, 2024, School Specialty was informed that its former third-party human resources vendor, The Management Association (“MRA”), had experienced a ransomware attack in which the sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to School Specialty employees may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, MRA determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information on July 29, 2023. On June 28, 2024, MRA began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
