Exela Technologies Data Breach Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

In early April 2024, Exela discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed or acquired. Through its investigation, Exela determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to this sensitive information on June 19, 2022. In June 2024, Exela began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
