WHAT HAPPENED?
On or about March 19, 2024, HCN Bank discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, HCN Bank determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to this sensitive information through an employee’s email account on or about March 5, 2024. On June 4, 2024, HCN Bank began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Financial account number
