BAMSI Data Breach Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, BAMSI discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, BAMSI determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on April 13, 2023. On May 16, 2024, BAMSI began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or state ID card number
  • Date of birth
  • Account number
  • Medical information (e.g., diagnosis or treatment information)
  • Health insurance information
