Founded in 2001, HRC offers a variety of services designed to help businesses minimize risk, save money, and provide great benefits for their workforce.2 Additionally, HRC provides Third Party Administration services for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Commuter Benefit Plans, MBTA, SmarTrip, Pre Tax/Post Tax Parking & Transit Plans, COBRA Administration, Dental Reimbursement, Premium Reimbursement Accounts (PRA), Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Accounts, Premium Offset Plans, Wellness HRA Plans, and Defined Contribution plans.2 Headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, HRC employs over 50 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On or about October 31, 2023, HRC discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, HRC determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed this sensitive information by impersonating certain Gordon College employees (account holders) by providing HRC with their account security credentials.1 On April 17, 2024, HRC began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Financial account information
- Tax ID number
- Medical information
