Strauss Borrelli PLLCa leading data breach law firm, is investigating VeriSource Services, Inc. (“VSI”) regarding its recent data breach. The VSI data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 1,300 individuals.

ABOUT VERISOURCE SERVICES, INC.:

VSI is an IT service provider based in Texas. Founded in 1997, VSI provides quality employee benefit administrative and enrollment solutions to employer groups.2 Today, VSI’s proprietary, rules based, parameter driven, Benefit Data Management System provides the flexibility to custom develop solutions that can be personalized for each client at a reasonable cost.2 Headquartered in Houston, Texas, VSI employs over 10 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, VSI discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, VSI determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this information on or about February 27, 2024. On May 3, 2024, VSI began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
