WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Relevant discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Relevant determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on March 24, 2022. As a result, Relevant began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Relevant. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state ID card number
- Taxpayer ID number
- Passport number
- Financial account or credit or debit card number
- Password or access code for a financial account
- Unique biometric data
- Genetic information
- Medical information (e.g., health records, medical diagnosis or treatment information)
- Health insurance policy number
