Today, Grow Financial operates 25 neighborhood store locations throughout West Central Florida and the Columbia/Charleston areas of South Carolina, and serves approximately 200,000 members.3 Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, Grow Financial employs over 500 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Grow Financial was informed that its former third-party legal service provider, Bowden Barlow Law, P.A., had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Bowden Barlow determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through one of its computer servers between November 17, 2023, and December 1, 2023. On March 11, 2024, Grow Financial began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
- Address
