Coleman Health Services Data Breach Investigation

Headquartered in Kent, Ohio, Coleman Health Services provides services at more than 20 locations throughout Ohio and employs over 500 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On December 14, 2023, Coleman Health Services discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Coleman Health Services determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through employee email accounts between September 18, 2023, and October 31, 2023. On February 12, 2024, Coleman Health Services began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Health information
