Atlanta Women’s Health Group Data Breach Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, AWHG discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, AWHG determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through its network on April 12, 2023. Recently, AWHG began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Patient ID number
  • Medical records
