WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Nautic discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Nautic determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information between February 23, 2023, and April 5, 2023. On January 12, 2024, Nautic began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Nautic. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or government issued ID number
  • Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number, in combination with required security or access code)
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
  • Unique biometric data
  • Genetic data
