WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Red Roof Inn discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information may have been accessed and copied. Through its investigation, Red Roof Inn determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and copied this sensitive information from its systems between September 21, 2023, and September 23, 2023. On December 8, 2023, Red Roof Inn began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Social security number
  • State identification number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Passport number
  • Financial account number
  • Credit card number and/or debit card number
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
