WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Kirkwood Bank & Trust discovered that one of its third-party vendors, Fiserv, had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal information belonging to Kirkwood Bank & Trust customers may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Fiserv determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed this sensitive information through a vulnerability in the MOVEit file sharing platform between May 27 and May 31, 2023. On December 7, 2023, Kirkwood Bank & Trust began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of personal information potentially exposed includes:  

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Contact information
  • Financial information (e.g., account number, routing number)
