Additionally, East River Medical Imaging provides referring physicians with resources that help coordinate and optimize patient care. Headquartered in Manhattan, New York, East River Medical Imaging has three additional locations and employs 14 board certified radiologists.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On September 20, 2023, East River Medical Imaging discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, East River Medical Imaging determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed this sensitive information between August 31, 2023, and September 20, 2023. On November 22, 2023, East River Medical Imaging began notifying patients and employees whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Contact information
  • Health insurance information
  • Medical information (e.g., exam and/or procedure information, referring physician, imaging results)
  • Financial account information
