WHAT HAPPENED?

In March 2023, Big Brothers Big Sisters discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Big Brothers Big Sisters determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information on or around March 28, 2023. On November 22, 2023, Big Brothers Big Sisters began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial information (e.g., payment card number, account number, account type, routing number)
  • Email address and password
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
