ABOUT GROWERS EXPRESS, LLC:

Growers Express was a vegetable production and distribution company. Operating from 1987 to 2022, Growers Express was founded in South Monterey, California by a group of growers who wanted to provide a consistent year-round supply of produce. In addition to a variety of fresh vegetables, Growers Express also offered lines of frozen vegetables, riced vegetables, and fresh value-added meal kits. In 1995, Growers Express became a licensed partner of Green Giant as the exclusive fresh produce arm of the brand. In May 2022, B&G Foods North America purchased Growers Express’ frozen operations.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 9, 2023, Growers Express discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Growers Express determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information from HR records. Recently, Growers Express began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Direct deposit information
  • Driver’s license
  • Passport
