Strategically located near major United States ports, Taylored Services offers warehousing, distribution, transportation, e-commerce fulfillment, and other logistic strategies. In March 2023, Taylored Services joined Yusen Logistics Inc., a NYK Group company, to enhance its logistic capabilities.2 Headquartered in Edison, New Jersey, Taylored Services has sites in Los Angeles, Long Beach, New York, New Jersey, Savannah, and Miami. Taylored Services employs over 300 individuals and was founded in 1992.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Taylored Services discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Taylored Services determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on September 17, 2023. On October 1, 2023, Taylored Services determined the unauthorized actor gained access to electronic files relating to current and former employees. On October 14, 2023, Taylored Services began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- Financial account information (i.e., payroll and banking information)
