Headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, O’Brien Steel employs approximately 400 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On June 1, 2023, O’Brien Steel discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, O’Brien Steel determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information between May 18, 2023, and June 1, 2023. On September 21, 2023, O’Brien Steel began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Date of birth
