Among Emmi Roth’s brands are Kindred Creamery, Athenos, and Kaltbach. Located in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, Emmi Roth employs individuals in a variety of roles, including cheesemaking, operations support, customer service, marketing, and quality control.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On August 10, 2023, Emmi Roth discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Emmi Roth determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and obtained the sensitive information of current and former employees of Roth Käse USA LTD, Emmi USA Inc., Emmi Penn Yan LLC, Cypress Grove Chevre, Inc., Redwood Hill Farm & Creamery, Inc., Tomales Bay Foods, Inc. (d/b/a Cowgirl Creamery), and Jackson Mitchell, Inc. On September 15, 2023, Emmi Roth began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Passport number
  • Health insurance
  • Healthcare related data
