WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 11, 2023, NECS discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed through a ransomware attack. Through its investigation, NECS determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between May 22 and June 10, 2023. On August 7, 2023, NECS began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- Salary information
