Crozer Health Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Crozer Health regarding its recent data breach. The Crozer Health data breach may have involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT CROZER HEALTH:

Crozer Health is a hospital and health care facility located in Springfield, Pennsylvania. As a provider of comprehensive health care, Crozer Health offers wellness and preventative care as well as rehabilitation and restorative care. Founded in 1858, Crozer Health began when John P. Crozer built the Upland Normal Institute, an educational facility for children. The institute was soon turned into an army base for the Civil War before finally becoming a hospital. Today, Crozer Health has grown into a multi-facility healthcare company that employs approximately 4,000 individuals. Headquartered in Springfield, Pennsylvania, Crozer Health is comprised of 11 locations with 4 hospitals, 4 outpatient centers, 2 surgery centers, and a rejuvenation facility.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On August 3, 2023, Crozer Health discovered that its parent company, Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc., had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed. While the investigation is ongoing, Crozer Health determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through a ransomware attack. At present, the exact type of information exposed has not been made publicly available and Crozer Health has not yet begun contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted.
