WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 29, 2023, the University of Utah discovered that TIAA Kaspick, a third-party vender used by the University of Utah, experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information of University of Utah students, employees, and donors may have been accessed. Through its investigation, the University of Utah determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through a cyber-attack on the MOVEit file transfer software used by TIAA Kaspick at the end of May 2023. Recently, the University of Utah began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

- Social Security number
- Date of birth
