WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Vincera Institute discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. While the investigation is ongoing, Vincera Institute determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information by launching a ransomware attack on April 29, 2023. On June 20, 2023, Vincera Institute issued a notice to individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed may include:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Contact information (e.g., phone number, email address)
  • Medical history and treatment records
  • Insurance information
