WHAT HAPPENED?

On or around March 26, 2023, Jaco Oil Company discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Jaco Oil Company determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and copied this sensitive information on or about March 25, 2023. On May 17, 2023, Jaco Oil Company began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Passport number
  • Permanent resident identification number
  • Address
  • Bank account information
  • Information used for credit checks
  • Documents related to I9 forms
