WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 21, 2023, Hammond Lumber Company discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Hammond Lumber Company determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on March 21, 2023. On April 20, 2023, Hammond Lumber Company began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. On April 23, 2023, Hammond Lumber Company discovered that additional individuals were impacted. On May 15, 2023, Hammond Lumber Company mailed a second wave of notifications to individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial account information
