WHAT HAPPENED?

On January 19, 2023, Renewal by Andersen discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Renewal by Andersen determined that one of its systems was unsecured between January 2018 and January 19, 2023, and an unauthorized actor accessed this sensitive information in January 2023. On May 12, 2023, Renewal by Andersen began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Address
  • Financial account information (e.g., banking account and routing number, credit card number)
